Software updates

See try and spend a few hours away from the computer and boom new releases. :)

First up for those of you like me who think we are smart give gbrainy a try. It's a humbling experience. I feel like I need to go back to school for a refresher course. :)
Down near the middle of the page you will find the links to the new version 0.5.

Next up a big congrats goes out to the KDE folks for the release of KDE 4.0. I was able to get it to crash just trying out some of the new versions of the apps so I'm not sure it was ready for prime time yet but now it is out and will only get better from here on out like what happened with 3.x.
My experience, or lack there of, is probably more telling of me and my machine than of KDE 4.0 so don't hold it against them. :) The new libraries should bring many new capabilities and new/updated apps in the future.

For those of you interested in Moonlight/Silverlight and other XAML platforms there is a new kid on the block. Inkscape will support XAML output.

Finally, SimCity has been renamed and released under a GPL license. The new name micropolis and you can download it here. For those interested in some details or this one.
