Wow, Nokia has sure been keeping itself in the news. I hope I'm getting this chronologically correct :). They have announced they have finished the acquisition of Trolltech. Next, they announced the purchase of Plazes, a social networking Wi-Fi positioning company. Then, they released an update to their internet tablet OS2008 codenamed Diablo. Finally, they announced they completely purchased all of SymbianOS, the OS they use in the majority of their cellular phones, have open sourced it, created a foundation and will contribute the S60 code to it as well.
Sorry for all the linkage but I keep finding more stories. :)
I don't know what this means for the future of the Maemo platform but I hope it just continues to get better and better.
