Since the purchase of my Nokia N800 back in March (wow, time goes fast) I've noticed my computing habits have altered some. Most of my blog reading was done on a regular desktop and has now migrated to the N800. Now the N800 via OS2008 has a nice RSS Reader built in. I'm still finding things I like about it. Problem is for years I've been using Bloglines and more recently Google Reader for my aggregated reading. Now neither of these are very good at 800x480 resolution. At least that was true until I found the Mobile (I think it is actually for the iPhone) version of Google Reader. This little optimized page is great for reading my feeds.
I'm not totally against using the built-in RSS Reader but some of the things I like about Google Reader are that I can get them from any internet connected computer (no need to continuously import/export my feeds for every computer), since I don't have to do that it also stays synced on the feeds I've read, and I can easily share items which I do rather routinely.
One thing I have noticed on the tablet that I hope they can get working better is the flash support. Having flash available is great but having it work fluidly would be SOOO much better. :) So far trying to watch flash videos inside the browser I end up with very jerky video and broken audio most of the time. That just doesn't seem good enough for me. I'm not sure what Nokia or anyone other that Adobe could do about it. Maybe have Nokia and Adobe work together to create an optimized flash player (or even Adobe AIR) would probably be the best. Well, maybe not THE best. I think THE best would be no reliance on flash at all but I think we as an internet community are beyond that point now.
